Big Squid was tasked with creating a logo for this pioneering consortium. The brief set out the importance of highlighting the geography of the partnership, as well as the breadth of expertise it is bringing together in terms of three disciplines. A mesh element was also a must as it describes the form of a number of key pioneering treatments.

The finished concept uses overlapping circles and colour to imply knowledge sharing and the close collaboration between the states of Western Australia (WA) and New South Wales (NSW) through the three broad disciplines of health care, engineering and science. The mesh circles allude to both organic structures like blood vessels and bioengineered structures such as stents.
